Look for Notch Hop Session Cask tappings in the next few weeks at the Haven, Deep Ellum, Redbones and American Craft. The cask conditioned version of Hop Session is a little different from what you will find on draft taps.  The Hop Session Cask is a true presentation of session ale – naturally carbonated and served at cellar temp. Something you could kick back with all day.

If you are unfamiliar with cask-conditioned ales, this is a good place to start. While the article is dated, it’s also cool to see the origins of cask-conditioning in New England. So for those new school craft beer kids, here’s some insight on cask, and how it was introduced to New England.

Look for cask tapping announcements, as always, on Twitter and Facebook.
